I want to thank Crystal (Swoopes) for allowing me to link to her site and for all her hard work on providing these screen captures. Please check out the rest of her site when you have a minute. She has done a wonderful job!
And now... episode bloopers from Katie "The Continuity Queen"
1. Leatherneck is a man of many trades. Shooting range, car repair shop and locks picker teacher. Can't the agency afford to hire some help? Do you all agree with me that Leatherneck is looking real fine here? The black leather jacket… the hair… oh, never mind. Lee just walked in, puts him to shame don't he.
2. He is actually surprised when she unlocks the cuffs. Such faith. Changes quickly to proud papa bear though.
3. So Billy knew she was in the play right? Talk about a deep background check. They actually examined all her classes and what was covered in each. Love the serious convo going all between all 4 about Krutiev. Love when Amanda is serious. I know, I know... it's funny in 1st and 2nd, but I much more prefer agent Amanda over bumbler Amanda.
4. Poor Fran. Do you think she ever comes to terms with Amanda always getting the cases? Love it when Billy shushes her. Amanda is just standing there trying not to laugh or smile. That would be so hard.
5. Doesn’t she look genuinely thrilled to meet Martinet? She’s like a fan finally meeting their object of affection. SV you wouldn't know anything about that would you? All know Tony is bad guy from Vigilante Mothers right? Good
6. Am dying to know what the Wailing Walrus part was and how Amanda is perfect for it. I don't care what the king says… PICKLE THAT HERRING!!! Best nonsense line there is. Anyone know if neo-absurdism is a real genre? Just curious.
7. So no one told you that was gonna be this way. Your job's a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA. It’s like your always stuck in second gear and when it hasn't been your day, your week, your month or even your year but I'll be there for you cause you're there for me too. Recognize the song? It’s the theme from friends in honor of the fountain Valentine and Krutiev hang out at.
8. Gotta put out a little advertising for a fanfic at this point. It’s post 4th season and deals with Krutiev bending Lee's mind against Amanda. It is well written and as true to canon that a post 4th can get. Krutiev drugs Lee and plays with his mind forcing him to hurt Amanda. Be warned. It is very violent and somewhat graphic in that violence. The author deals with the emotions and actions very well though. Barn, can you help with the name or author? I know it's at ff.net, but not sure if it is elsewhere. I highly recommend. Just remember it can be disturbing.
9. Why are the scripts locked up? Espy, is that normal? How does everything else look backstage and rehearsal-wise? Well, look at Miss Lockpick. She learns fast. Love the look of surprise when Lee busts her. I think she is just as much surprised as he is finding her there. Notice how proud he is that she got such a good cover. Proud papa.
10. Darn you Pax. You not only cut one scene you cut 2 scenes around that commercial. First one is her rehearsing with the family that night. It’s hilarious. Second one is Lee asking her if she's really memorized the lines. She says yeah and he says ok then let's go through it. Pick up at Pax version. Check out scottyb's post for the actual dialogue. Be sure to read Amanda’s lines in the family rehearsal. You’ll know why when you read them. Writer's being clever again.
11. You are the soul of decadence. Better than to be soulless. You see through me to that hollow place inside. (Give me a break. Don't adlib). Your opacity is transparent! (Uh? I'll explain the subtext later. Finger motion). Well… perhaps that's why I drink. Another! Maybe this one is the one to make me forget. (Totally waiting for her to deliver her line, totally unprepared for her to move in on him. Surprises him when she does so). Wine... really make you forget? (Huh?) Yes. (She confirms that he can move in too.) I have another in mind. No hangover either (Script thrown to desk, hands move to her hips. She does not even flinch). That is not your line. Who cares. (Holding her closer, big smiles on both, lips brush and then...) FRAN! aghhh!!! Just how many near miss kisses do they think the audience can take? By far this is the best one though. Notice Fran's face when she recognizes the scene? Pure astonishment. They don't seem to be that embarrassed to me. A bit flustered, but not really. She even has a quick explanation. I guess these near misses are getting old hat for them. Oh, when's opening night? Little joke. I don't think they appreciated her joke.
12. So do we pay Ernie here to watch Road Runner when he's not scanning odd assortments of pictures? This film I can see. It's obviously taken outside a building, probably the Russian embassy. How about the pictures he scans for Maria? The women don't appear to have much in common. Some in suits, some in bikinis, some inside, some outside, some id type, some candid... you get the idea. Where do these pics come from?
13. So, this is what you say to Mr. Martinet. Just so sing-songy. Just like the sound of it.
14. Where did Valentine get the package with the pen and recorder he gives to Tony? He took it off the desk. It looks too big to be in a pocket and he didn't have it in his hands when he came. Just seems odd for him to have left it on his desk from the last visit. Prop guy...
15. How else does Lee think Amanda knew to go there? Valentine left with him. He even talked to him so he knows she didn't follow him. Does he think she has ESP? I know they have a connection but to know where he is going to appear without talking to him is even a bit much for them. Love how she anticipates his coming order, has her comeback and pushes him into the elevator before he can even say her name. Knows him so well.
16. I will never see how this is just perfect. How are they able to see into the room from that angle? As it appears we can see the balcony and the wall right there by the door. That’s it. By some weird camera work we are though. Both Lee and Amanda react to things that seem to be happening further in the room, which btw they must be eating their carrots to see that far w/o binoculars. When they kiss, when she shows him the teddy, when he puts the liquid in the glass... all of this should be too far at an angle for them to see.
17. I want one of these cameras. It's not only small and compact, but it's waterproof and takes amazingly good shots into a room at a weird angle from across the width of the pool plus some. Talk about a telephoto lens.
18. Can we discuss this? Yeah, sure later. I hope that end of the pool is the deep end. Did you catch her super fast purse switch? When they are watching, it's on her right side. As they climb over the balcony seconds later it's on her left and then in pool it looks like it's diagonal across her back. Switch, switch, switch. Krutiev also must be eating his carrots to recognize a wet Lee (darn, no close ups) swimming away from him 4 stories below. They leave Amanda’s car there? She came on her own. Actually, hang on. Lee drove her to the rehearsal. Maybe she took a cab. Must be it.
19. Tony must have a long message tape on his machine or Maria’s speech is very short. My machine used to cut you off after a minute or so. When do you think Tony injected her? 4:30ish? Why’s it so dark when he finishes? Daylight savings time?
20. How do you think no accent Misha gets Lee? He has to be out from some sort of drug. Lee would have been sitting in the Vette waiting for Amanda to change. Misha just sneak up on him from behind? I find that hard to believe. A big limo pulls up and Lee doesn't notice it or the driver walking towards him? He’s an agent. He would always be aware of his surroundings. More thought by the writers was needed here. Doesn’t he look so vulnerable lying there like that? Probably scares her a bit to see him like that. Not only does she not know what happened to him, but he can't save her.
21. Think Krutiev saw that move by Tony coming? He had everything else perfectly scripted. I doubt he knew Tony would retape the speech and not give it to him until after the play. Must really throw his ego for a loop.
22. Love how she moves her hand over his face and through his hair as he is trying to wake up. Just a small thing, but it says a lot.
23. You have a double diamond in your collar stay? Ok. What other cool gadgets do you have in your clothes? Wait, wait. Don’t tell me. You have exploding buttons. Well, no. That’s another shirt. Huh? Oh. So, how do you wash these shirts? How about the jeans? Anything... ahem... there?
24. Ok. We’re here. Time to die *sing songy* I'm opening the door now. Lady, I think you're gonna be first… what the hell? Where could they have gone? I know they were in there and I never stopped. Man, boss is gonna kill me.
25. Guns. So de classe. Swords. Too proper. Today’s finer bad guy goes for a more accessible weapon. The windshield wiper. They’re cheap, come in several different sizes and come two to a pack. Windshield wipers… today's most deadly weapon. Get yours at your local auto store.
26. And it's Amanda to the rescue. Love that she helps out with his fights now. She may not be able to do hand to hand but she can sure fluster you with a tree limb. Love the run up to him, arm around shoulder asking if he's alright and then the big smiles and hug.
27. I'm going to assume Lee and Amanda have been with Ernie for awhile. Otherwise Fran is getting her super powers as well. When they left Billy’s office for Ernie's, Fran was still sitting with Billy. So unless she is speed girl there is no way she could beat them there.
28. Everyone freeze the frame where we see Krutiev in the audience at the play. Look at the guy behind him. The one with the red afro. Doesn’t he look like Ralph Malph from Happy Days? I'm serious. Go look. Poor Ralph Malph, must need the money.
29. How does her family not see Lee and Amanda walk in yet Krutiev does? It looks like they are walking down an aisle in the middle of the audience doesn't it? Yet a full shot of the audience never shows that aisle. Confused. And if they are walking in the middle how do they miss them? They look like they are towards the back of the theater. Like the compliment about her acting. Lee notices it.
30. That scene on the stage is hilarious. Nice improv job on everyone's part. Think the boys have a déjà vu moment? They should recognize Lee. I know if I had watched the fight in the gym I'd remember the guy who saved me and pummeled the other guy.
31. What do you think happens to Tony? Are they trying him for treason or something less? Think Maria and him ever connect? Just curious.
32. Some small things about the tag before I get to the best part. Apparently the upper level is like a Bermuda Triangle of some sorts. Things appearing or disappearing. The fichus is behind the door as they enter the hallway yet when Billy and Fran leave it's not. A poster on the wall that is vice versa from the plant and Amanda’s desk. It was there yesterday for Leatherneck's stuff, yet gone today. Where is Fran coming from? What else do they have up there? Think Billy heard Lee say his line? He was close to the door. It's possible. Notice Lee's tie? I think it's a signal to the fans that whatever is about to happen it's not gonna be a near miss (His tie has little lipstick kisses all over it).
33.oh, such a good tag. Sigh. From his look in hallway until the end. Sigh. Notice how he's not thinking about the case at all from the time they enter the hallway. He only answers cause she's asked. He has other things on his mind, esp as they enter the Q.B.. She seems oblivious to his apprehension. No, that's not right. She notices, but is unsure what it means. Don’t you think it's so cute how nervous he is? He plays with the doorknob, holds his hands awkwardly in front of him, you can even hear it in how he says her name. Amanda... you know... you and I do have a lot to talk about. Yeah? Nervously plays with desk corner waiting to hear how this is going to go. Yeah, moves closer as courage grows. We have been getting to know each other for what.. ah.. 3 years. She joins him to confirm. A sly smile escapes him as an anticipating, knowing smile escapes her. And there's a lot about you I don't know. With bedroom eyes he slowly moves closer, but I'm sure going to enjoy trying to find out. He takes her hands in his. They look at each other one last time, searching... looking for acceptance... confirmation... love. When the spark is picked up by both he lowers his head, lips brush... a sound jars them. NO! NOT AGAIN! Lee swiftly and catlike moves to the door and locks it before Billy can enter. No. Not this time. A bit surprised at first Amanda is relieved. He’s really going through with it. He really wants to go through with it. Outside Billy tries to play it off, maybe he's not really in there. Only, I thought I heard his voice. Fran looks like the cat that swallowed the proverbial canary. She almost looks glad. Back inside, standing mere centimeters apart they again share a silent conversation. He asks her if she is sure, she answers yes. To demonstrate she raises her arms to his shoulders. With one more verbal consent they kiss. Small and light. Maybe to not scare the other. But that won't satisfy either. Another deeper, more passionate kiss is shared broken only by their need for air. All I can say is FINALLY!!

The Song You Hear Playing
I Can't Fight This Feeling REO Speedwagon
I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship, has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear
And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever
Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crushing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore
My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you
I've been running round in circles in my mind
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl
Cause you take me to the places that alone I'd never find
And even as I wander I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever
Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crushing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore.
