Best Lines

Billy: Now some people don’t like you. But you’re still a good agent.
Lee: Who doesn’t like me?

Billy: You’re the only man I know who can pace sitting down (as Lee “paces” in his wheelchair).

Lee: Could you do me a favor?
Amanda: Sure.
Lee: You better write this down, it's important.
Amanda: Oh. Okay. Ready.
Lee: Go to my apartment.
Amanda: Mm-hmm.
Lee: The doorman will let you in.
Amanda: Mm-hmm.
Lee: Bring me my comb.
Amanda: I'll get comb. Next?
Lee: That's it.
Amanda: That's it? Couldn't I just pick up a comb at the hospital pharmacy?
Lee: No. Amanda, I need the black comb with the two missing teeth, the one with "Ace Comb" stamped on the side.
Amanda: Where will I find this item? In the bathroom?
Lee: Oh, Amanda, come on. It's on the coffee table, underneath the magazines.

And now... episode bloopers from Katie "The Continuity Queen"

1. Anyone know when they get the outside IFF sign? Second season? Later this one? It’s not there currently. Would like to mark the red purse lady's first appearance. We will come to know her very well over the next season or so.

2. Blue boxers. Does he own other colors? How about that for a nail polish shade(from Sunday’s chat)? Very nice legs though. Yum.

3. Did you see the look he has when Billy tells him some don't like him? He’s genuinely hurt and surprised. Pobrecito

4. Love nurse ratchet. Some people don't have knees. Be thankful. Said with such a straight face. I was rolling for 5 minutes. Really. Cats thought I lost it. Shuts him up too, no come back for her.

5. Where’d he get the pants he's trying to put on? His were shredded by the ER staff. Actually if you look they are the same shredded pants. Why were they kept? I doubt even the best tailor could salvage them. He that sentimental?

6. What phone calls and paperwork does he need help with? He’s a spy, not a corporate president.

7. So are we to assume Amanda has been waiting outside all this time? When we joined it looked like Billy had been there for a bit. Looked like the box of chocolates had been pretty much picked through. She just twiddling her thumbs waiting for Lee to decide to leave so Billy could offer him an assistant? And nice to see you too. It’s a wonder she stuck around as long as she did when he was always so rude to her.

8. Oxygen tent?! Now why does he have one? There was no damage to his lungs; he has no breathing tubes so they can't be damaged. I don't think these hospitals use the tent correctly. Be thankful, at least Lee was able to hold her hand in MOG. Walt’s is completely covered in plastic.

9. If the good doc has been scooched (to use their term in Dancing Weasel) by the agency why would he be allowed to work on 2 members of that agency? The potential for resentment and the need to get even would seem (and rightly so) to be high. Seems a risk.

10. When Lee is hooked up the first time what's the beeping? Hope it’s not his heart rate (usually what the beep is measuring). Seems a bit fast to me. Beep, beep, beep

11. Cut. Ah, camera guy. Come here. The kitchen is on the driveway side of the house. When the scene opens you need to zoom to that side of the house, not the living room side. We’ll leave it this time cause no one pays that close of attention. But don't let it happen again. Ok, ready? And ... action.

12. Love the family scene. Too funny. And no wonder they are all so close, she has a great policy… talking everything out. What a mom.

13. Ok, is the neighbor lady blind? Can’t see the attraction? Have you looked at him, woman?!

14. So how many robes does he need at the hospital? First day he's in a blue one, next day he's in a brown one. Maybe the first one is the hospital's?

15. Lee seems to be unnaturally open at the outside table. Do you agree? He's responding to her questions, making no snide remarks, telling her about his private fears and dreams. Just seems out of character for 1st season Lee.

16. I again sing the cutter's woes. There's a great scene that's been left behind. Can someone describe the paxed scene please? From what I remember it's Amanda, Billy and Alec all talking about Lee. She’s describing his odd behavior - the comb, the lists, etc. Alec says what's wrong with that? All agents should be organized. Amanda looks at Billy in puzzlement and asks him if Alec knows Lee. Is that it? I always thought that was funny... her asking if he knew Lee.

17. Why was Walt seeing Glazier? I always figured Lee was just a lucky stroke. Glazier needed a new guy, Lee was there and it would be the ultimate for Lee to kill Billy. But how did Walt first start going to Glazier? He knew who he was. He helped scooch him. Logic guy...

18. So what did happen to her wrist? Anyone know? First her wrist, then her foot/ankle. Rough first season.

19. Class, I'd like to show you the difference between good acting and bad acting. In this elevator scene we have 2 women. Please watch and then identify who best illustrates the good and the bad. You're ready already?I see we have a consensus. You agree the tall one, I believe her character name is Amanda, is the good and the short one, Barbie, represents the bad? I'm very impressed. That would be correct. Class dismissed.

20. Doesn't Barbie wonder where Amanda went? One minute she was behind her asking about a door on the way to laundry, the next minute she's nowhere. What? Barbie forget she came down with her?

21. And if this room is so secret (they are doing secret night experiments) why isn't it locked?

22. So how'd Billy and Lee get to the speech? Lee never orders the car cause he's on the phone with Amanda.

23. How does Lee know it’s the Adriana Hotel? He tells Amanda on the phone that's where the speech is. The first he should remember hearing about it is from Billy and he never mentioned the name. Now Dr. Glazier probably told him, but that should be buried in the brainwashing. Unless... it’s his subconscious reaching out for help. A thought to ponder.

24. I bet this is when they initiated the NEST team. With 2 agents compromised here they can't afford to trust the local hospital staff again (and with good reason as we see in Eyes). Creating the team allows them to do thorough background checks, giving them a team they can trust. Good thinking.

25. It’s racecar driver Amanda at the wheel. Watch her swing that wheel back and forth during the chase scene. Me thinks she is over steering. And we're just going to let the fact that the doors were open when she pulled out, but they are shut just a bit later. I know probably by her driving. That’s why we're letting it go. And how about the disappearing windows in her ambulance. From outside shots (in the lot and driving) you can see through the windows on the back doors. When we get closer to Amanda you can still see the doors, but now there aren't any windows. Oh the switching that takes place. I lament.

26. Wow does Billy owe her big time or what? That’s why he insists on keeping her around. All he knew at that moment was that Amanda was coming between him and a bullet. He now knew he was Lee's objective, but Lee could've been programmed to use any means possible to achieve that, including shooting any interference. And he knew how Walt reacted when he couldn't complete his objective; Lee could've reacted the same way. Yet here was Amanda begging for his life after figuring it all out on her own. Big time repayment.

27. My question… Amanda learned from assistant guy that Lee will follow any command after hearing Lester's voice. Why then after she finally gets Lester to talk doesn't she just tell Lee to not shoot Billy? I know it makes for dramatic effect to wait out her pleading, just not what should work.

28. So is that it? Does the speech go on? After Amanda’s great exit, does Billy continue? You’d think Lee would need some deprogramming or something. What if someday some kid was playing with a Lester duck in Lee's vicinity and then he heard some command on a TV show? Would Lee carry out that command or does brainwashing just wear off?

29. Best exit ever. Gee… I… um… I'm not supposed to jump out of the cake for another hour. Ha! Love that. Great improv skills.

30. Lee says Glazier and assistant guy were picked up an hour ago. Does that mean they went back to the lab and waited for them to come and get them? Amanda left them in an alley not far from the hotel. They had plenty of time to escape. Speaking for myself, if I were one of the 2, realizing even if she doesn't stop Lee she will tell someone and they will come after them, I'd leave. Just keep driving, no stopping to pack just go. But no, not these 2. They wait and get caught. Dumb criminals.

31. Where are the clothes in the elevator? Amanda backs into an empty elevator. No shelf, no hanger rack, no clothes. Where’d they go?

Special thanks to Katie for all of the time and hard work she has put into these Continuity Queen posts!

The Song You Hear Playing

License to Kill
Bob Dylan

Man thinks 'cause he rules the earth he can do with it as he please
And if things don't change soon, he will.
Oh, man has invented his doom,
First step was touching the moon.

Now, there's a woman on my block,
She just sit there as the night grows still.
She say who gonna take away his license to kill?

Now, they take him and they teach him and they groom him for life
And they set him on a path where he's bound to get ill,
Then they bury him with stars,
Sell his body like they do used cars.

Now, there's a woman on my block,
She just sit there facin' the hill.
She say who gonna take away his license to kill?

Now, he's hell-bent for destruction, he's afraid and confused,
And his brain has been mismanaged with great skill.
All he believes are his eyes
And his eyes, they just tell him lies.

But there's a woman on my block,
Sitting there in a cold chill.
She say who gonna take away his license to kill?

Ya may be a noisemaker, spirit maker,
Heartbreaker, backbreaker,
Leave no stone unturned.
May be an actor in a plot,
That might be all that you got
'Til your error you clearly learn.

Now he worships at an altar of a stagnant pool
And when he sees his reflection, he's fulfilled.
Oh, man is opposed to fair play,
He wants it all and he wants it his way.

Now, there's a woman on my block,
She just sit there as the night grows still.
She say who gonna take away his license to kill?
