And now... episode bloopers from Katie "The Continuity Queen"

1. Nope. I won't believe it. Not Lee. No way is he a burnout. Sorry Fran, I don't care how many burnouts you've seen. I will never believe Lee is a burnout. Uh uh. Nope. *Shaking head emphatically* Never. I don't care that we've just seen him blow a case, drop a flask, come in unkempt, yelling at Billy and walking out. Lee is not a burnout. What? Just watch? Ok, but I still say there is no way Lee is a burnout.

2. Is he really drinking the scotch? I don't see a plant around for him to dump it in. Ned is pouring and would know the number of drinks he's had and would know the effect is should have. He’d know if Lee was faking the drunk. If he's really drinking he must hold his liquor real well. How could he stay in command of the burnout?

3. So this is the next afternoon that Amanda comes to get him right? Cause if not both she and Fran went home to change. Isn’t there a scene where she is talking to Dottie about her friend's problems and she does look up in that book mentioned the burnout effect? That would make sense it being the next day. You know she is a true friend and is really worried about him by the way she brings up the question and is trying different ideas. Pretty courageous too with his mood swings. Love how she helps him dress.

4. AH HA! I knew it! I told you Lee was faking it! Whew! Didn’t have me worried at all. You? Wow, are they good actors. Billy is totally believable with his anger and Lee does a great job playing burnout. Love how they have everyone stopping and watching each time they go at it. Totally believable. Does Billy really need to ask if any one is buying it? Just look around MAN. Little surprised Fran gave up so easily. Not Amanda though. She buys the burnout, but fully believes he will recover. That’s a friend who knows you. Like how Billy specifically asks if Amanda is buying it. He understands they have a special relationship and knows even then that Amanda knows him on a totally different level than anyone else. If he can fool her, then...

5. That kiss off is too funny.

6. 10 years. Is that right? Let’s see this is what? '84? Doesn’t someone (Harry, Lee) say it was 1973 in either DW or WOtStW? Close I guess.

7. AHHH! Did I just see what I think I saw? Did he just slap her? Oh my gosh! Wow! Many things to say on this one so bare with me. Watch all the faces after the slap. From Ned's in back corner to Jack's, to hers and especially his. All four are amazed at what just happened. Love the long silence after. No one is sure what to say. What do you think is running through both of their minds at this minute? He was trying to impress Jack, see the look he gives him just before? I don't think he meant to go that far, just got carried away. It immediately sobers him up; he begins saying he's sorry a couple of times. I like how she tells him to remove his hand and just walks away. I’m not sure if I’d be more mad or more hurt that he just hit me. Remember she still thinks this is the real Lee. Up to this point she trusts him and knows he would never harm her. He just broke that trust. I also like when he runs after her to apologize leaving the case behind and not letting her leave until he says sorry. It had to be hard for him after that to tell her to leave him alone at the door. It was very hard for her to have to hear. She does a good job at not breaking down in front of him. Comes close but her “show no emotion” resolve comes through. Amazing scene.

8. Why doesn't the conversation between Jack and Lee continue? Lee goes back to the bar after Amanda leaves. Couldn’t they talk then? And who is the watchdog for Lee? They should have one assigned; the other agents would know the drill. Wouldn’t they become suspicious that no one was assigned when it's the usual?

9. Lee must be keeping one long tail on Jack. At a couple of times as they are driving you can see the back window of Jack's car. I see no Vette or any other car behind him, yet Lee says he's been trailing him. And he must have turned his motor off and coasted into the turn off. Why else would they not hear another car when they are on the death march?

10. She must be getting used to these forced marches and kidnappings. She doesn't look a bit surprised when he pulls the gun on her. And talk about another long gun. Where do they buy these things?

11. Wow! What a hit. Must be from all the Bomber coaching. How come they just don't talk when they are changing the tire? She’s just gonna be watching him. Why do they have to wait until they get to the very un-French looking French restaurant?

12. Fair warning, long discussion here too. He is so embarrassed as he is talking about her public shows of affection. Too cute. It’s like a little boy reluctantly telling his mom about a crush at school. Like her little hmm and smile. Good girl for figuring it out. That is why Billy asked if Amanda was buying it. He knew if she spent any real time with him she'd figure it out. Lee probably realized that too and tried to keep her away, but she is ever persistent. Love how nervous and unsure he is as he broaches the apology. Even though she says it’s ok he still presses the issue, tells her no it’s not alright, insists on asking forgiveness and even formulizes it. Love how the whole scene goes and especially how it’s shot with the close-ups. Good job camera guy. Hey barn... you know what I’m thinking. Do you know the fanfic? It’s a scene filler/inside thoughts for the slap and the apology. Real good. Can ya help? I should keep a list I guess.

13. How did Brackin get into Lee's place? You’d think the top agent would have a better security system on his door than 2 easily picked deadbolts. Maybe you should do something about that?

14. So we know this is real scotch here and we know Lee is drinking it. Can’t be fake. Brackin is drinking it too and he's drinking cause we see it. He must hold his liquor well. He just downed a shot and a half in under 10 minutes. How is he not impaired?

15. Bracken must not have been a good agent; aside from the reason he was scootched. His trail couldn't be more obvious. The travel itineraries, the bank transactions and the murders all coincide for geez sake. A rookie could connect them.

16. Just wondering… does Lee tell Billy that Amanda figured out the cover?

17. Oh, Lee. You shouldn't park there. That’s a fire lane in front of the store. The Vette's gonna get towed.

18. What kind of pat down was that? A slap on the stomach, a slap on the thigh and the back and that's it? What if he had an ankle gun or ankle wire?

19. AAAHHH!!! First he slaps her and now he shoots her!!! What is the deal with the boy today? How could he shoot Amanda? And check out those smoldering, stone cold eyes. Gives me the shivers just thinking about them. Did I mention I liked the 5 o'clock shadow look? Mmm mmm mmm. Oh, sorry. Back to the shot. She’s not talking again, sure sign that's she's scared. She trusts him and understands what to do through their eye speak, but I’m sure is still a bit scared. Can you imagine what he has to be thinking as he is walking back to the car? He has to be a bit worried that he really hit her or if she's ok after that tumble and how she is going to get back after they leave. Barn.... is it the same ff as I asked about above or is it a different one? It’s a really good one about his thoughts then (One part is his surprise that they weren't following him back.). I really will try to make a list from now on.

20. YEAH!!! She’s ok. She was faking. YEAH!!! Wow this ep really keeps you on your toes. It’s an emotional roller coaster. Good thing they didn't go check on her. Also good thing they talk about their plans right there. Very helpful the bad guys are.

21. See. Another security thing that Lee was in charge of. I ask again… is there no one else to set up security systems in the city of DC? Lucky thing the 3 security guys are the same size as our 3 guys. Why, actually, do they need to change clothes though? They should be going fairly soon after taking over the truck wouldn't you think. Other people seeing them shouldn't be a factor. Karate chop! I love that. The ability to hit the spot perfectly is just amazing.

22. Just a wee bit of a Pax cut here. If you think Travis is the first and only vehicle on the road you'd be wrong. At least 2 or 3 pass her by before he comes to a screeching halt. Don’t you just love him? The music, the enthusiasm. Love her "I can't find my seatbelt", her "oh no's" and her laugh that turns to a cry. Too funny. Very bouncy seat Travis has too.

23. Poor Fran. No respect, no info.

24. Isn’t that sweet? The little head cock, the wink and the finger kiss. He better be doing more than that and getting her sweater reimbursed to win her trust back. I know that ff deals with that issue. Just cause she forgives him doesn't mean she trusts him again. I see this ep as a turning point in the relationship and it all begins with his more than obvious reactions to all that she goes through in this ep. Imo.

Special thanks to Katie for all of the time and hard work she has put into these Continuity Queen posts!

The Song You Hear Playing

I Still Believe in You
Vince Gill

Everybody wants a little piece of my time
But still I put you at the end of the line
How it breaks my heart to cause you this pain
To see the tears you cry fallin' like rain

Give me the chance to prove
And I'll make it up to you

I still believe in you
With a love that will always be
Standing so strong and true
Baby I still believe in you and me

Somewhere along the way, I guess I just lost track
Only thinkin' of myself never lookin' back
For all the times I've hurt you, I apologize
I'm sorry it took so long to finally realize

Give me the chance to prove
That nothing's worth losing you

I still believe in you
With a love that will always be
Standing so strong and true
Baby I still believe in you and me
